Description

This is how we in Sweden managed to travel through our vast terrain for many years. By wooden skis and pulk. Then came the snowmobil. But now the pulk is coming back by people who want to enjoy the superior calmness of nature. As there are so many bad plastic pulks I wanted to build the traditional Swedish pulk made by wood. Here is were I later on met Dan who is the only man still crafting the original pulk from 1929 at https://segebadenpulkan.se . I was so lucky to be trusted into his small workshop and learn how the old Segebaden pulks were and are still made by him. And then to actually be able to make my very own real Segebaden pulk! This is something I am genuinely passionate about. So I helped Dan start a course were you or a group can come and do the exact same build as I did, a truly unique experience. Here it is: https://segebadenpulkan.se/sv/sidor/bygg-din-egen-pulka.html There are so many traditional crafts here in Sweden that I want to visit and show here on youtube. But this channel is more about my own journey with the log cabin and my life-style, which is great but I wanted to start a channel more open for any kind of content. So I started the channel "Grankvist Outdoors" https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCalmTzMnggI7QR0p421W-xA . There you can see how I built my Segebaden pulk. There will be smaller projects and future uncut versions of my final films on this channel. The wooden skis I am using are from the Swedish company: https://www.tegsnasskidan.se The ultra-light tent and stove that only weigh 2,5kg! are from the Swedish company: https://packraft-sverige.se They have a code for 15% off: grankvist2022 The winter clothes I am wearing are from the Swedish company: https://www.revolutionrace.se Special thanks again to Dan for keeping the traditions of Sweden alive.
