The early bird gets the centipede! Whole Australian Magpie family comes for a bale

After getting their interest with a bag of mealworms, Dad (I think) is first in and he gets the prize. Lil Sis is quietly vocal while foraging with Mum and Dad. At 0:43 a skink makes a dash for cover over Dad's foot! Luckily he's distracted with the centipede. Dad plays nice despite Lil Sis eating some mealworms from almost underneath him and he leaves early. It's hard to tell them apart in this light but I'm pretty sure that if the adult who stayed was Dad, he would have slotted the youngster when she was directly competing. Gotta be Mum who stayed...and she's got the jerky movements I associate with Eva. This was Sunday and as I mention at the end, they haven't visited for a wee while and I had posted the last bale video (from a month earlier) that day and was out of magpie/bale footage. As Monday is a day of rest for the channel this is being released on Tuesday. I saw one territorial fight on Sunday morning and after they left there was another. I probably miss most of the disputes but they're on defensive duties pretty heavily around bale o'clock. Cheers folks!
