Due to being barred from church property and religious life by the current administration Boris Stoikos and Sasho Celeski, I am unable to observe Lent in the traditional way. Home Sweet Homemade Roast Beef, Potatoes, Eggplant, Hot Peppers in Homemade Tomato sauce, Broccoli, garden salad I’m heartbroken to have to post this, but I’m being blocked from my own spiritual home at St. Clement of Ohrid in Toronto. 🇨🇦⛪️ My family and I have been part of every Akathist and Service of the Five Loaves for years. Now, we’re being told we aren’t welcome for Christmas, Easter, or even funerals. To have our Easter shattered and be kept away from the Pomen (the memorial meal) is a pain I can’t even describe. 💔 During Holy Week, instead of getting grace, I was told they would “never forgive and never forget.” How does that happen in a house of God? To be barred from the church and told I have “mental health” issues just for wanting to worship is a weight no one should have to carry. 🛑✝️ To be clear: my family and I pleaded with the Church Administrative Council and Boris Stoikos to allow me to attend the funeral service in the church to pay my final respects before God. We asked for grace during a time of mourning, but we were denied entry to the service and the Pomen (memorial meal). It is heartbreaking to be barred from the sanctuary during a funeral and kept from our spiritual home when it matters most. 🙏💔 I am looking to confirm reports regarding a leadership conflict at the Macedonian Church. There are serious allegations that a priest is attempting to forcibly transfer his colleague to a different city. This would unfairly uproot the priest’s family and seems to follow a pattern of banning parishioners. Does anyone have more information? I’m not giving up because a church should be for everyone.
