7th Meeting of the Economy and Development Council

Heroes Hall, Malacañan Palace January 26, 2026 President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. discussed key 2026 priorities to strengthen the implementation of the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) and advance national digital connectivity when he led the 7th Meeting of the Economy and Development Council (EDC) at the Heroes Hall in Malacañan Palace on January 26, 2026. During the meeting, President Marcos Jr. approved the National Digital Connectivity Plan (NDCP), the country’s first comprehensive framework to accelerate the rollout of fast, secure and affordable broadband infrastructure nationwide, aimed at expanding access to underserved areas, and improving internet speed and affordability for Filipinos.
