After getting it driving in the last episode, it’s time to finish everything off properly. We fit an oil cooler, get the front end back together, and start making it feel like an actual finished truck again. There’s still loads to sort though. We build a custom centre console, sort a bunch of the smaller jobs that have been piling up, and then take it for its MOT to see if all the work has actually paid off. On top of that, we pick up a fresh set of wheels and tyres which completely change how the Defender looks and drives, and give the rear end a bit of a refresh with a NAS step and a few other upgrades to tidy everything up. This one feels like a proper milestone. From a slow old TD5 to a fully M57 swapped Defender that actually drives properly… it’s been a big build.
