Trump threatens more attacks on Iran

WASHINGTON (TNND) — President Donald Trump warned Wednesday morning on social media that Iran “will have to pay the price” after Tehran allegedly shot down a U.S. Army Apache helicopter over the Strait of Hormuz, escalating an already volatile military confrontation between the two countries. Speaking from the Oval Office later in the day, Trump signaled that additional U.S. military action could be imminent. “We’re going to be attacking them, attacking them very hard,” Trump said. “We hit them hard yesterday. We’re going to hit them hard again today.” The latest escalation began Monday when an American Apache helicopter went down while operating near the strategically critical Strait of Hormuz.
