Description

Here’s something I’ve been meaning to make for a very long time; trying to recreate the iconic ‘Low Rider’ song (from 1975) using nothing but horns in Train Simulator classic. I’ve done the same sort of thing in the past for a couple of Toni Basil songs (namely ‘Mickey’ and “I Don’t Hear You”). I must stress that this recreation was never intended to be 100% accurate to the original song; I just wanted to see what could still be done within the limits of this game. I had the idea to recreate War’s “Low Rider” on train horns after realising that I could at least play the song’s iconic alto-saxophone riff on a horn; that was a fair while ago now. To add, this ‘cover’ has no representation of the original song’s drum track because I thought that would be too hard to recreate, and it would’ve made the end result sound like an indecipherable barrage of noise (with four horns going off at once). It was hard enough trying to get the bass-line right. (Here’s the original song for comparison. Not one second of the original is used in my video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMkwuz0iXQg #trainsimulator #lowrider #70smusic #trainhorn #songcover
