Behind the scenes of City Rail Link Emergency Testing in the underground tunnels.

🚆In this exercise, volunteer passengers from across the City Rail Link project evacuated a train, navigated through “smoke,” and made their way into the underground tunnels to reach the nearest emergency exits at Te Waihorotiu or Waitematā stations. 🚨These tests help us make sure critical systems like fire alarms, ventilation, signaling, and digital displays, are all working as they should. Just as importantly, they ensure our drivers, train managers, and customer service teams are fully prepared to guide passengers safely during an emergency.
