Description

How to reactivate your navigation unit if you had the battery disconnect in your second generation Honda Pilot. This is a 2011 model and there may be some slight differences with your control panel buttons for the navigation unit. The battery was disconnected so it erased the radio and navigation codes. Both the radio and navigation have two separate codes, I will be showing one for the radio in a separate video. #honda #hondapilot #mechanic Website: http://4diyers.com Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/4diyers Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/4diyers Twitter: https://twitter.com/4DIYers Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/4diyers/ Tumblr: http://4diyers.tumblr.com Pintrest: https://www.pinterest.com/4diyers/ Procedure: With the navigation unit on, the vehicle does not need to be running. Press and hold three of the buttons on the control panel for the navigation unit. In this case, it would be the map, cancel, and menu. This would be held while the unit is asking for your PIN code. A new menu will pop up followed by an audio sound. Use the selector knob to go into the self-diagnostic mode. As you can see we have a bunch of different information for the navigation system. Use the selection knob to go over to the ECU information at the bottom. This will open up another menu and this will be the information needed in order to call the dealer and retrieve the navigation code. Here we need the serial number. After that call the dealer, this is a free service so you should not have to pay for it. You’ll supply them with the serial number, they’ll look it up, and provide you with your four-digit PIN. After that exit the system then enter your four-digit pin. And as you can see the navigation unit is now working as it should. If you do have your owner's manual, this vehicle didn’t come with that. The code for the navigation or radio may be in that booklet, I have also heard that they can be sometimes written on the side of the glove box.
