Queenstown & Wānaka Snow Report 17 September 2025

We're back with the final weekly Queenstown / Wānaka Snow Report for the season. 🗻❄️ The mountains are pulling out all the stops for some upcoming legendary events. The Remarkables kicks off their 40th birthday celebrations with a Spring Carnival running from Friday 26 - Sunday 28 September. Meanwhile, Cardrona are hosting the Mini Pipe World Champs alongside a family-fun day this Saturday, and Coronet Peak is gearing up for the iconic Red Bull Homerun and MTB on snow champs on Saturday 27 September. Treble Cone has their closing day next Sunday 28 September, so dust off your retro gear and join in on the fun. We are seeing some warm spring conditions across the region, and temperatures are dropping this evening with fresh snow forecasted on the ski fields overnight. Don't forget the Queenstown/Wānaka mountains are scheduled to stay open until late September/mid-October, so make the most of this epic spring season.
