Description

Behold the incredible scale of our Sun! In this short, we begin with a close-up view of the Sun’s surface, captured through my main solar telescope, then zoom out to a full-disk view using my new setup. Both telescopes were filming the same active region — giving you a true sense of just how massive and dynamic the Sun really is. The Earth for scale at 0:14 is incorrect and should be half the size. This time-lapse showcases real solar activity in stunning detail, revealing solar flares, plasma filaments, and chromospheric structures through the Daystar Quark Chromosphere filter. Equipment used for Close-Up: Telescope: https://dudeloves.space/SkyWatcher-EvoStar-120mm-F8 Solar Filter: https://dudeloves.space/DayStar-Quark-Chromosphere Camera: https://dudeloves.space/ZWO-ASI-432MM Other: Skywatcher Heq5 Pro Mount, ZWO Asi 120mm, ZWO Mini Guide Scope, ZWO AEF Equipment used for Full Disk Sun: Telescope: 60/240mm F4 Finderscope Solar Filter: Daystar Quark Chromosphere Camera: ZWO ASI 432MM Mount: Sky-watcher SolarQuest Acquisition: Firecapture | Tracked with LuSol Processing: Stacked in Autostakkert4 | ImPPG | footage stabilized and edited in After Effects | colorised with SolarToolBox in PixInsight The speed of this footage is around 280x compared to real time. The audio is created with sound clips from NASA’s Parker Solar Probe. It flew through solar wind and the sun’s corona! Its instruments captured electromagnetic waves and particle collisions. #sunobservation #sun #space #solarflare #telescope #astrophotography #solarsystem #spaceweather #spacefacts #sol #science #universe #spacelovers #nature #solar #esa #solaractivity #shorts
