Operation Southern Discovery ❄️

Dropping supplies like it's hot...or should we say cold? ❄️ In October, #YourADF provided air mobility support to the Australian Antarctic Division, delivering several tonnes of supplies to support the million-year ice core project. ✈🙌 The supplies were delivered via air drop from an #AusAirForce C-17A Globemaster as part of Operation Southern Discovery. The million-year ice core project will help solve a long-standing mystery about why almost one million years ago, the cycle between colder glacial and warmer interglacial periods every 41,000 years, changed to every 100,000 years. #AusAirForce #YourADF
