Very Rare Find - Sweet painted Lady

Finding a marked queen during a bee removal is incredibly rare. 🐝 After more than a decade and hundreds of cut-outs, I have only found a handful of queens with a paint mark. 🐝 Beekeepers mark queens as it can help when searching for them during hive inspections. The coloured dot follows an international colour code, which tells beekeepers what year the queen was born. 🐝 So when you see a marked queen inside a building, it tells a story. 🐝That colony most likely swarmed from a managed hive, and it also reveals how old she is.
