Out There continues our remote South Australian odyssey, swapping the lush rains of the Flinders Ranges for the harsh, Martian landscapes of the deep outback. 📍 Route: Coward Springs → William Creek → Oodnadatta Track → Breakaways Reserve → Coober Pedy We push the GMSV Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 and our JB Caravans Gator-X further northwest along the infamous Oodnadatta Track, starting at a literal desert oasis fed by 29°C mineral springs in Coward Springs. After an encounter with a monstrous 19-meter Ford F350 towing rig that made our V8 Silverado look like a toy, the reality of our fuel efficiency forces us to make a critical call at William Creek: abandon the rest of the Oodnadatta Track and make a direct line for Coober Pedy.
