#1300KOALAZ' Tate came in to care back at the beginning of February after being found at the bottom of a tree alone. His mum was above and retrieved so we could reunite, but as always we first had her checked over to make sure she was healthy. Sadly she was not and was unable to be rehabilitated so she was given peace. Tate has been in care since then but just a few days ago his big day arrived and he was released. It is always a happy day when a joey makes it through the months of care and is able to be put back out into the wild and this day was no different. For his carers it is bittersweet. You are so happy they have made it and can be released but worry about them out there in the big wide world all alone. Tate's carers won't have time to worry too much as they still have River, Alexa and Piper in care and a good few more months of feeds, cleaning enclosures, washing, leaf runs, weighing and vet checks.
