Description

After months of design, building, and testing, one of our most important trucks has officially been delivered to its new home in Ontario. There is just one problem. We can’t show you what it is yet. This undisclosed customer project has been in the works for a long time, and while we are excited to finally get it on site, the full reveal is still a few months away. This delivery wasn’t without challenges. Extreme winter temperatures created real-world testing conditions that pushed the truck to its limits. With temperatures dropping as low as minus 44 degrees, we ran into issues with cold batteries and thermal management. Disconnecting high voltage systems for transport meant the built-in heating systems couldn’t operate, which raised big questions about how electric trucks handle brutal cold starts. These are exactly the kinds of problems we need to discover before full deployment. You’ll also hear from Peter, our cab design lead, about what it feels like to see a project go from an idea to a real working truck. There is still more commissioning, programming, and fine tuning to do, but this delivery marks a major step forward. Stay tuned for the official unveiling event and more updates as we continue testing and improving.
