Test Pre WRC Rallye Monte-Carlo 2026, Romet Jürgenson/Siim Oja, Ford Fiesta MK8 Rally2 "EVO" M-Sport

We are in the French Alps, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, where the 2026 WRC Rallye Monte-Carlo will be held at the end of January. We're here to film the tests that usually take place two weeks before the opening race of the World Rally Championship. In this video, we see the 2026 EVO version of the Ford Puma MK8 Rally2 by M-Sport, driven by the Estonian crew Romet Jürgenson/Siim Oja. The British team has decided to debut its new technical upgrade package for the Fiesta Rally2 at the Rallye Monte-Carlo. This includes engine and electronics upgrades, including new injectors, pistons, and camshafts, as well as ECU software updates. The suspension department introduces revised gravel dampers and updated suspension geometry. There's also improved rear brake cooling, a lighter dashboard, and a lighter polycarbonate rear window. The interior control panel has also been improved with a new information panel on the steering wheel. Upgrade kits for existing customers will be available in limited quantities from April 2026. The Estonian crew was actively involved in developing this EVO package and will officially compete in three rounds this season: Rallye Monte Carlo, Rally Sweden, and the Safari Rally Kenya. Driver Jürgenson was the 2023 European Rally Trophy Junior Champion, the 2024 Junior World Rally Championship (Junior WRC) Champion, and finished second overall in the 2025 British Rally Championship (BRC). Ci troviamo qui per filmare i test che solitamente si svolgono con due settimane di anticipo rispetto alla gara che aprirà il campionato mondiale di rally. In questo video vediamo la versione EVO 2026 della Ford Puma MK8 Rally2 by M-Sport guidata dall'equipaggio estone Romet Jürgenson/Siim Oja. Il team inglese ha deciso di far debuttare proprio al Rallye di Monte-Carlo il nuovo pacchetto di aggiornamenti tecnici per la Fiesta Rally2 che prevede interventi su motore ed elettronica, con nuovi iniettori, pistoni e alberi a camme, accompagnati da aggiornamenti software all'ECU. Il reparto sospensioni introduce ammortizzatori da ghiaia rivisti e una geometria delle sospensioni aggiornata. Non solo: raffreddamento dei freni posteriori migliorato, alleggerimenti per la plancia e per il lunotto posteriore in policarbonato. Anche il cockpit dei comandi interni è stato migliorato con un nuovo pannello con informazioni sul volante. I kit di aggiornamento per i clienti esistenti saranno disponibili in quantità limitata a partire da Aprile 2026. L'equipaggio estone è stato attivamente coinvolto nello sviluppo di questo pacchetto EVO e, in questa stagione, a bordo della vettura disputerà ufficialmente tre tappe: il Rallye di Monte Carlo, quello svedese e il Safari Rally Kenya. Il pilota Jürgenson è stato campione junior dell'European Rally Trophy nel 2023, ha ottenuto il titolo di Campione del Mondo Rally Junior (Junior WRC) nel 2024 e si è classificato secondo assoluto nel British Rally Championship (BRC) del 2025.
