Displaced Palestinians find solace in World Cup

In Khan Younis, Gaza, displaced Palestinians came together to watch the opening match of the World Cup at a cafe. The Palestinian national team came close to qualifying for the tournament but fell just short. “Despite the suffering we endure, we came with joy to watch the World Cup,” said Osama Hamdan, who was displaced from Rafah. “We had hoped that one day our Palestinian national team would be present.”
