Description

Two Long-tailed Blues (aka pea blue; Lampides boeticus, family Lycaenidae) visiting purple flowers of kudzu (Pueraria montana var. lobata, family Fabaceae) by the roadside to feed on nectar side by side peacefully. No wonder they were attracted to one of their favourite host plants. But I cannot tell their gender because they didn't show me the upper side of wings. Captured in the sunny early-afternoon (around 12:15 PM) of early-October 2024 in Japan. For a full story (text in Japanese); https://sigma-nature-vlog.blogspot.com/2026/01/blog-post_10.html
