Duck Toller Meet-Cute in Canary Wharf 🇬🇧

Met Laurelle and her five-year-old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Alfie, on my first day in the UK. This little guy is a gentle soul with the sweetest temperament, though he’s currently dealing with a bit of jaundice that’s slowly clearing up. (I didn’t even know dogs could get jaundice… did you? I’m hoping it clears up soon 🤞) Alfie knows exactly what he’s doing in front of a camera. He knocked out every trick we asked for, from sit to twirl to lying down. Alfie has naturally crimped hair on his ears, and the groomer always asks if someone styled him that way… but she swears it’s au naturel! Laurelle mentioned he was their ring bearer for their wedding, which is straight up adorable. ❤️ Fun fact: duck tollers are apparently pretty rare in the UK. Most people stop and ask what breed he is! PS Laurelle is Canadian (like me) - so I found it quite ironic that she was the first person I talked to during my trip.
