Description

Caught a glimpse of a worker of Japanese honey bee (Apis cerana japonica, family Apidae) visiting pink blossoms of North Japanese hill cherry (aka Sargent's cherry; Cerasus sargentii var. sargentii, family Rosaceae) in the backyard to forage for nectar and pollen. The corbiculae on her hindlegs were loaded with yellow pollen. The brief appearance was replayed at 5x slow-motion. Captured in the sunny midafternoon (around 15:35 PM) of mid-April 2024 in Japan.
