Description

In this month’s Dean’s Call, I speak with IESE Business School Prof. Sandra Sieber about why an entrepreneurial mindset is becoming essential for leaders working with AI. As Sandra explains, AI is making innovation and experimentation faster than ever. What once required significant technical resources can now move quickly from an idea to a working prototype. But unlocking AI’s potential requires a shift in mindset: leaders must move from thinking to doing, learning through experimentation and rapid iteration. Three ideas that stood out: - AI makes rapid prototyping far more accessible, allowing teams to test and refine ideas much faster than before. - As organizations move from prompting AI systems to delegating tasks to AI agents, leaders must rethink trust, delegation and how work is organized. - Larger organizations may face the greatest challenge, as existing structures and processes often need to be unlearned before AI can be used effectively. Ultimately, getting the most out of AI depends less on the technology itself and more on an organization’s willingness to experiment, adapt and rethink how it works.
