My garden now technically waters itself, though it's still a work in progress! 🌱 We're slowly building out our garden watering system, aiming for a more efficient and smart garden setup. The goal is a self watering garden that reduces daily chores and conserves resources. It works surprisingly well. 😅🌱 In this video I’m walking you through our current DIY watering setup, including sprinklers, tap timers, isolation valves, polytunnel drip systems, and the very real problems we’ve discovered now that we’ve actually started using it properly. Because while the garden technically waters itself now… the pressure is a bit questionable, the system has absolutely no idea when it’s raining, and parts of it are currently being held together with hose connectors and optimism. 😂 I’ll also show you the plans for Version 2: 💧 Smart watering zones 🌧️ Rainwater harvesting 🛢️ Future IBC tank & pump setup 🌱 Smart plant sensors 🤖 Weather-aware irrigation ideas 🐔 And future plans to integrate the chicken coop too! Just normal people slowly building better systems over time.
