Description

The Day of ‘Ashura the 10th of the holy month of Muharram. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Fasting on the day of ‘Ashura, I hope from Allah, expiates the sins of the preceding year.” (Muslim) One day of fasting. A year of sins forgiven. This blessed day also reminds us of the victory Allah granted to Mūsā (ʿalayhi as-salām) and the believers when He parted the sea and saved them from Firʿawn. If you are able, fast the 9th and 10th of Muḥarram, or the 10th and 11th, following the teaching of the Prophet ﷺ. As we enter this sacred day, increase in: • Dhikr • Duʿā’ • Istighfār • Charity • Qur’an recitation • Good deeds Do not let ‘Ashura pass by like any other day. May Allah forgive our sins, accept our fasting, answer our duʿās, and make this Muḥarram a means of drawing closer to Him. Ameen. Share this reminder so others can benefit before the Day of Ashura arrives. #ashura #muharram #Allah #islam #muslim
