London to Brighton: passing Clapham: Part 1 (2-11-25)

London to Brighton Veteran Car Run 2/11/25 Part 1. Motorists Passing Clapham This is the Annual London to Brighton Rally, where hundreds of Pre War Cars, (from the Turn of the last Century), endeavor to drive from Hyde Park Corner, to Brighton - many finishing the challenge of the 60 mile run to the Sussex Coast! Usually fully laden with exhilarated passengers, this year was no different, except for rather damp conditions, with rather heavy rain during the early part of the morning, with most cars being open top!! Showing some of the early Cars on the route, Cars were seen trundling up through Clapham, through Clapham Common towards Croydon, (One of the two routes, the other being Brixton), with some going at a rather hefty speed for the age, making some viewing in the wet difficult, with as well as at times a convoy of cars, the other traffic users, despite being a Sunday morning!! This was of course South London! Most Cars seen passing were appreciated in photographic form in some way! This was the first time to see cars from a vantage point, and to attempt photography! On Screen information is also provided The previous days' St James Motoring Spectacle was also visited, where many of the cars participating were seen on Pall Mall, which was also filmed and shown in Three earlier episodes, from 1st November!
