Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 Side By Side With Reading & Northern T-1 2102 In Pittston, PA (6/13/26)

READ: Shot from behind the warehouse at Oak Street crossing. This was one of many planned side-by-side pacing opportunities set up during the 4014's visit to Reading and Northern. From my vantage point, you can hear but not see the 2102, and incidentally, the engine's positioning relative to the 4014 makes it look like 4014 is putting on a smoke show. An interesting what if scenario where the Big Boy remained a coal burner. Enjoy and stay tuned for much more UP & R&N action =)
