Description

This is a rare peek into the lives of the Hadza (or Hadzabe) tribe. They have clicks in their names, speak a different language and hunt to survive every day! In this first episode of our African adventure, Eshan and I step into a world that feels raw, humbling and wildly different from ours. From dusty roads to wide open landscapes, this episode is all about observing and truly understanding Africa rather than just ticking places off a list. Meeting the Hadzabe tribe in Baray, Tanzania, was one of the most unforgettable parts of this journey. It’s an ancient hunter-gatherer tribe whose way of life is still deeply rooted in how our ancestors once lived. Spending time with them, understanding their way of life, their weapons and their deep connection with nature was grounding in ways I can’t fully put into words. It made us stop and think of our roots, how our ancestors must have lived their lives and just how much of our evolution is centred around comfort. From there, we head into Tarangire National Park, spotting wildlife up close and experiencing the thrill of a self-drive safari in Tanzania. We saw elephants roam freely, cooked meals in the open, slept under the stars, and so much more. Best time to visit Tanzania: We travelled during the shoulder season (Jan-Mar), which meant fewer crowds, pleasant weather and a stunning experience overall. A lot of people consider the Great Migration period (typically between July–October) as the best time to visit, but that merely depends on personal preference.
