Description

Do you think your brand is best and the rest suck? 😂 Why do so many riders get fixed ideas that their brand is the best and all the others are garbage? Or they are deeply hurt is someone mentions their motorbike has a known issue? We discussed this quite a few years ago and there were some really interesting responses from viewers. When we find a serious issue we sometimes do a video to create more awareness of the problem. Need hard enduro training? Work through our video lists. Hard enduro techniques are covered in our training vids. And if needed, we put pressure on the manufacturer to start supporting their customers. Typical examples? The main bearing failures in Beta two-strokes. KTM's TPI issues. Fox's appalling drop in quality. KTM 790 and 890 camshaft issues. Rusting brackets in certain helmet brands. Quality control in Sidi Crossfire boots. Fake knee braces from EVS. The worst jerseys and pants. The worst boots. Our motorbike reviews. We always explore potential known issues with each model and so many owners had hurt feelings we had to provide a support service. Have your feelings been hurt by one of our videos? Here are our first aid suggestions. Lie down. Try not to cry. Cry a lot. It's surprising how often riders try to deny there are problems, or try to minimise the issues and claim we are unfairly attacking the brand. Into enduro and dirt bikes? Check out our dirt bike videos. Extreme enduro training vids are our focus. Of course this loyalty can extend way past just a particular brand. European bikes are unreliable pieces of crap, get a Japanese bike if you want your bike to last. Or the european crowd will say Japanese bikes might be more reliable but they are bland, boring, and don't inspire passion when you ride them. And there's always the old two-stroke versus four-stroke debate in the dirt riding community. Does brand loyalty make sense? If it's based on hard data? Probably. For many of us I suspect it's the opposite. When we choose a bike, we like to think it's a logical process. But advertising executives know how to play us - that's why there is an advertising industry. The latest craze is to get pro riders on big heavy adventure bikes and do crazy stunts. Riding the Pan America like a dirt bike. Pol Tarres on the Tenere 700. And of course, Toni Bou on the Africa Twin. If you are enduro riding get into our enduro training vids. Our dirt riding tips are great for developing your hard enduro skills. Deep down we know we will never ride like that. But there is always a secret hope that a particular brand of motorbike, riding gear, or energy drink, will be a substitute for lack of talent and turn us into a pro rider. If you want extreme enduro training see our playlists of enduro skills to learn. Try our training vids for working on your extreme enduro techniques. Manufacturers love brand loyalty as its based on emotions rather than cold hard facts. It means riders are likely to stick with the same brand regardless of its faults, how high its price is, or whether another brand could be more suitable. Every week, viewers ask me to recommend which motorbike would suit them. I just say the same thing over and over.If you are a relatively new rider, the main concerns will be basics like seat height, overall weight, and what sort of riding you plan to do. If you live in a non-English speaking country it seems Youtube automatically selects the dubbed language. One viewer said he hates this but has to manually select 'English' every time. If you use Chrome or Firefox use these extensions to override Youtube's language selection.
