Fresh start: Vendor Village aims to revitalize ByWard Market

A new Vendor Village in the ByWard Market is bringing pop-up shops and artisan crafts to George Street as part of the city's 200th anniversary celebrations. CTV's Josh Marano visits the new space to speak with Ottawa By Design owner Darwin Radke and Deka Trends owner Kafui Salakor about the vibrant glow up. Mayor Mark Sutcliffe says the initiative by the ByWard Market District Authority is designed to boost foot traffic and support local entrepreneurs. The market-style bins will operate weekly from Wednesday to Sunday through the fall season.
