Suhail’s story: Doctors Without Borders mechanic| Two years of attacks on hospitals in Gaza

In 2023, Suhail Zaki Habib, a Doctors Without Borders mechanic, was trapped for more than 10 days inside an MSF clinic in #GazaCity as fighting intensified and Al-Shifa hospital was besieged and invaded by Israeli forces. Families sheltering in the clinic faced severe shortages of food and water while nearby buildings were bombed. “As long as you work in the medical field, you are a target,” says Suhail. Suhail’s testimony is part of the documentary “Two years of attacks on hospitals in Gaza.” It tells the stories of two MSF staff members, Rami and Suhail, who witnessed the attacks on Al-Awda and Al-Shifa hospitals in 2023. These attacks tragically led to the killing of two of our colleagues, Dr. Ahmad Al Sahar and Dr. Mahmoud Abu Nujaila.
