Description

A wintry blast is about to bring a dusting of snow to higher elevation parts of Tas, Vic, NSW and the A.C.T over the next 48 hours, as the next big high pressure system tracks south of the Great Australian Bight. This set-up will mean cloud and showers for coastal southern WA and SA too with lower temperatures for a time. The southerly flow will make it into southern Qld and the NT too. The high will track towards Tassie going into next week bringing settled weather for most - although some thunderstorms and downpours are likely in central parts of Australia next week (not yet locked in).
