Description
This was one of the most emotional experiences of my life as both a mom and a grandmother. My daughter had to undergo an External Cephalic Version (ECV) — a medical procedure where doctors try to turn a breech baby into the head-down position before birth.
Her baby was breech (sitting bottom-first instead of head-down), and the doctors recommended an ECV to try to avoid a C-section. I picked her up, went with her to the appointment, and we experienced the nerves, the risks, and the emotions together.
In this video, I share our real-life ECV experience: what happens during an External Cephalic Version, what risks come with the procedure, and what it feels like to support your daughter through such an intense part of pregnancy.
