‘Reserve grader’ Starmer unable to hack it at the top sees UK Defence Secretary resign

Former home affairs secretary Mike Pezzullo says UK Defence Secretary John Healey’s resignation is a reflection of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s inability to handle the "top leagues". “If you read his letter carefully, it is really a point of principle about chronic underfunding, while the government talks about it being the most dangerous period since World War II,” Mr Pezzullo told Sky News Australia. “This is what happens when you get a reserve grader in the form of Keir Starmer accidentally finding themselves in the top league, he just can’t handle it. “He’s obviously on a very short time fuse, he might not even make that NATO meeting in July.”
