Rolling it on the Runway.mp4

Not sure where @aero_vance, the photographer, captured this incredible “roll it on the wet runway” landing video, but it’s so cool! Every pilot strives for a touchdown like this and I know pilot teams that graded each other for post-flight drinks! Normally, you’d see lots of smoke as tire rubber meets the runway. Not today! This pilot made such a soft landing I’d bet no one felt it in the plane. As the rear wheels touch, rainwater sprays up off the runway. As the big ole jet airliner settles down, you can see the struts depress which probably gives the pilot team in the cockpit a weight on wheels indication in the cockpit. Then the front wheels softly touch the runway again, no smoke, just water spray… Well done Mr/Ms Pilot!
