Steve Clarke to name MAMMOTH 55-man Scotland squad for World Cup

Steve Clarke has revealed he will select a massive 55 man World Cup squad before the end of May. The national boss made the revelation after arriving here on Merseyside ahead of Tuesday night’s warm up clash with the Ivory Coast. Clarke says the bumper initial number has been set by FIFA stipulations even though he will have to cut it back down to just 26 before taking his squad across the Atlantic at the end of the same month. And he joked that he might even consider including his one name on the whopping preliminary list if he needs to make up the numbers.
