New Danger Tree replica in Beaumont-Hamel a reminder of 'bloodiest day' in N.L. military history

On July 1, 1916, many of Newfoundland's soldiers died near what became known as the Danger Tree in Beaumont-Hamel, France, during the opening day of the Battle of the Somme. Now, 110 years later, a new replica of the Danger Tree was installed to remember those lost.
