► “While we were worried looking for her, she was out partying." Gorda the dog had been missing for a month when his relieved owner finally spotted him - and he appeared to be having a great time. The six-month-old mutt had been out partying in the streets with jubilant Mexican World Cup fans. Alejandra Garcia’s pet vanished on May 24 from her home in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. Despite extensive searches, there was no sign of Gorda anywhere. Then, following Mexico’s 3-0 victory over the Czech Republic, Miss Garcia’s brother spotted Gorda while scrolling social media. One El Tri fans was spotted carrying a dog as he paraded through the streets in Ciudad Victoria. The video was captioned, “even the dog is out celebrating”. Gorda’s family tracked down the location of the video and set out to find their missing pet, who, as it happened, was still out partying. "After a month of worrying, I never imagined we'd find her thanks to a live video of the celebrations after Mexico won,” Miss Garcia wrote on Facebook after Gorda’s story went viral. "It was a mix of emotions: I wanted to cry, to laugh, to hug her and even to scold her at the same time. While we were worried looking for her, she was out partying!" She added: "I found her without even meaning to.
