The biggest paradox is that while koalas are listed as endangered, and they are protected, their habitat is being destroyed faster every year. You can’t protect koalas and increase their numbers, unless you protect and increase their habitat. The math is simple. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist. In fact, spending money on figuring this out is a waste of money, we all know it! It isn’t the number of koalas there are – it’s the number of trees there are not. Spending money on anything but habitat is a way of lying. It’s so easy to tell the world how much is being done to save koalas by showing hospital buildings, laboratories, and medications. These lies are so often believed, and people think that if we throw more money at this, we will win. All the while, more developments are approved, despite studies, evidence and protests. Ironically, this increases the need for more hospitals, laboratories and medications. Wow, is there a connection??? Why is it that no one seems to want to throw money at protecting huge areas of connected habitat? Now that’s food for thought! A Fair Dinkum Koala Fact from Koala Gardens, brought to you by alpha producers Jeff Anderson, Rich in Alaska, Lin, Shawn and William Hirata. Koala Gardens is a private property that is a wildlife sanctuary working hard to regenerate native habitat critical for koalas and many other vulnerable species. Katrina creates short and long documentaries that take you into the lives of these super cute and fascinating marsupials that live in the treetops. You can adopt wild koalas to help further sanctuary activities. https://koalagardens.net.au/shop/product-category/adopt/ Koala Gardens also publish a series of children's books in the Adventures of Mist series. There are now 5 books in the series which cover a range of climate change and environmental issues that allow children who love koalas to see how they can change the way they live. https://koalagardens.net.au/shop/product-category/books/ Merchandise of high quality, sustainably created is available at Redbubble https://www.redbubble.com/people/koalagardens/shop Koalas live in Australia and are not only cute animals, but wild koalas are facing extinction due to climate change and forest destruction. Koalas are marsupials and Koala Gardens explores their lives in the wild through video of wild koalas in nature video that shows how they live day to day. There is nothing more beautiful as a reason to save our planet than seeing a koala mum and joey in the wild. #wildandfree #koala #australia #liveinhope #naturevideo #koalavideo #koalalove #wildlife #marsupials #cute #cuteanimals #climatechange #climateaction #saveourplanet #forest #naturelovers #environment #documentary #koalajoey #joey 🎹 Music used in this video from: Music by Peter Philippe Weiss https://linktr.ee/peter_philippe_weiss https://mixkit.co/free-stock-music/ http://audionautix.com https://www.bensound.com/royalty-free-music
