And you can create so many interesting variations with these Instant Idlis.
For e.g., I have made the Idli 65 with Rava Idli and an Idli Stirfry with the Schezwan Idli.
Each idli recipe is quick and easy, offers a new taste to be enjoyed every time and you can get creative and create so many variations on your own too!
As a bonus, there is also an MTR instant coconut chutney to enjoy the idlis with. It saves you the trouble of grating & grinding and all you need to do is just add water to the chutney mix and it is ready!

Recipe:
Rava Idli
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 12 minutes
Serves: 3-4
Ingredients:
1 cup idli MTR Rava Idli Mix
½ cup Yoghurt
Method:
Mix together the ingredients in a bowl. Rest for 2 minutes.
Grease the idli molds and pour the idli batter in the cavities.
Steam for 12 minutes. Remove.
Idli 65
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Serves: 3-4
Ingredients:
8 Prepared Idlis
For marinade:
½ cup yoghurt
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp corn flour
1 tbsp rice flour
1 tbsp Kashmiri red chili powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp garam masala
Salt to taste
For tempering:
1 tbsp chana dal
1 tbsp urad dal
1 tbsp mustard seeds
1 tbsp chopped ginger
1 tbsp chopped green chilies
2-3 red chilies
10 curry leaves
Oil to shallow fry
Method:
Cut idlis into halves.
Mix all ingredients for the marinade. Add the idlis and coat well.
Shallow fry the idlis till golden and remove.
For the tempering, heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan, add the dals, roast them till golden and add all the other ingredients and sauté till fragrant. Add the fried idlis and any leftover marinade and toss.
Shezwan Idli
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 12 minutes
Serves: 3-4
Ingredients:
1 cup MTR Schezwan Idli Mix
2 cups sour curds
Method:
Mix together the ingredients in a bowl. Rest for 2 minutes.
Grease the idli molds and pour the idli batter in the cavities.
Steam for 12 minutes. Remove.
Idli Stir fry
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Serves: 3-4
Ingredients:
Prepared idlis
1 cup diced onion, bell peppers
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp chopped ginger
1 tbsp chopped garlic
2 -3 red chilies
½ tbsp white vinegar
½ tbsp soya sauce
½ tbsp chili sauce
Salt to taste
Pepper powder
2 tbsp oil
Method:
Cut idlis into quarters.
Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger garlic red chilies and sauté till golden. Add diced vegetables and sauté for a minute.
Add the sauces and mix. Add the idlis and toss. Serve.
