What happens when two communities fight for two years and the outcome forces them to live like refugees in their own country?
For the past two years, Manipur has been burning in ethnic violence, but their stories remain untold.
When we reached the relief camps with my team, I wasn't prepared for what I would witness.
Whole villages living into single rooms. Six families sharing one space, using bedsheets as walls for privacy. Children who haven't tasted proper food in months - surviving on just dal and rice. A single washroom serving over 100 people. Families drinking dirty pond water when tankers don't arrive.
But the real heartbreak? Husbands and wives from different communities, separated by invisible ethnic lines, unable to see each other for over a year. Parents who can't give their crying children the food they ask for. Young people are haunted by nightmares of the violence they escaped.
I met Kajal, a young woman caught between two identities, struggling with trauma that keeps her awake at night. I saw walls covered with photos of those who didn't survive - young faces that will never see their families again.
11,000 homes reduced to ashes. 250+ lives lost. 170 relief camps scattered across Manipur. Yet, our national media barely talks about their pain.
Through this video, I'm trying to share the honest reality with you - with heart and humanity. These are the voices from our own Bharat that have been silenced for too long. Because when we talk about conflicts, we must remember the real families, real tears, and real courage of people who refuse to give up.
