President Reagan and Justice Kennedy’s Supreme Court Legacy

On February 18, 1988, Anthony Kennedy, who was known for his fair and tough approach to criminal law, was sworn in as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court after being nominated by President Ronald Reagan. Justice Kennedy later gifted President Reagan a bronze Pony Express sculpture, which remains on display at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute.
