Scientists have developed a tiny retinal implant, called PRIMA, that restores central vision in patients with advanced age-related macular degeneration. This implant works with augmented reality glasses to convert infrared light into electrical signals, reactivating retinal cells and enabling patients to read again. It's awesome.
