2026 Mitsubishi Destinator launched: New seven-seater SUV lands in PH | Top Gear Philippines

Mitsubishi is venturing into new territory with its latest offering, the Destinator. It’s an all-new seven-seater SUV that sits above the XForce in the local lineup, serving as a more premium alternative to the Xpander or a more affordable one to the Montero Sport. The all-new Mitsubishi Destinator is powered by the second-generation version of the 4B40 engine derived from the Outlander, with a new water-cooled turbocharger that promises improved throttle response and overall performance. Three variants are available at launch, starting at an introductory price of P1.289 million. Prior to the local launch, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines gave us the chance to test out this all-new SUV at the brand’s proving grounds in Okazaki (not Nagoya), Japan.
