Description
We attempted to make giant donuts using only construction tools.
First, we dumped a hard hat full of eggs into the cement mixer. Then we added a 5-hour ENERGY “Confetti Craze” shot for rich buttery vanilla flavor- it’s perfect for cake donuts. @5hourenergyshot
Next, we added sugar and melted butter. We combined the butter with buttermilk before dumping it in the mixer.
Finally, several shovels full of flour.
We ended up with a huge dough ball that we needed to flatten.
So, we decided to use our 14,000-pound asphalt roller.
Here’s where things got interesting- I needed a way to cut out the donuts, so I decided to use traffic cones.
This actually worked really good.
So how do you fry a giant donut? We fill the bucket on our excavator with oil and then heated it up with a propane torch.
These donuts were so big we could only fry two at a time, but they turned out just right.
Now for the icing, we tried using a paint roller. There’s no such thing as too much icing in my opinion.
Finally, I blew confetti all over the donuts with my leaf blower.
These tasted absolutely amazing. Let us know, what should we cook next? @hausplans
