PH govt prepares repatriation for OFWs amid Middle East conflict

Philippine officials are preparing for the possible evacuation and repatriation of OFWs as the Middle East war escalates. Department of Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac appeared before the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. He said they are coordinating with Filipino communities in several Middle East countries to monitor the welfare of the OFWs. Cacdac said they are in communication with Filipino community leaders in eight countries across the region.
