She started researching alternatives and discovered tiny homes. What she found changed everything. Cyndy purchased a Liberty Landing model from Liberty Tiny Homes for $126,000 cash. At 399 square feet, her tiny home on a foundation is built just like a traditional house, with full-size appliances, quartz countertops, a walk-in shower, and a queen-size bedroom on the main floor. Her lot rent is $850 per month, which includes water, sewage, and trash. Electricity runs between $50 and $75 per month. Compare that to the $1,500 or more she would pay for an apartment, and the math speaks for itself. Living on a fixed income, Cyndy shares how tiny home living has given her financial breathing room she never had in a full-size house. No mortgage. Utilities under $100 a month.
