New Zealand wild Bird confrontation

A re-edit of this confrontation which marks the smaller NZ endemic Tūī as the aggressor in the scene. The larger native Kererū (N.Z. Woodpigeon) warily suffers the aggression. Wing flapping displays from both Birds resulted in a truce at the bowls. Tūī was protecting the nectar feeders bowl (tblspn apricot jam mixed into filtered water) while Kererū, 99% of the time, head for the large bowl of plain filtered water (unsweetened). #birds #woodpigeon #nature #newzealand #birdfeeder #aotearoa #borb #tui #kereru
