Abandoned zoo buildings. The former polar bear pit of Vancouver' Stanley Park Zoo.

Built in 1962 and closed in 1997, this harsh concrete structure is the only remaining feature of the Stanley Park Zoo. The zoo closed due to animal welfare concerns in 1996 but the last polar bear was deemed too old and frail to move, so this exhibit remained open until his death a year later.
