This is especially useful when your lighter or matches are wet… or you simply don’t have them. Use a dark, easy-to-burn material (like dry coconut or rotten wood). Embers form quickly — then gently blow on them and add some fibrous tinder. Tip: flashlights with a reflector that focuses light into a tight point work best 🔥 I tested this on remote islands in the Maldives with my survival team — and it really works.
