Yellowstone National Park is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Even just between the mountains and the wildlife, it would already be one of the most beautiful, but there are other features that make it truly unique. The thermal features at Yellowstone, including the famous painted pot pools, are some of the most striking features found anywhere. They almost don’t even look like they’re from this planet. But, as is often the case, this beauty is deceptive. Many of these pools bubble away at close to boiling, and some are as acidic as battery acid.
